Fraudulent handling of adblue system is punished with jail in Netherlands or with a 20.000 EURO Fine

In January 2016, the German press presented a type of fraudulent AdBlue system handling.

This handling is made with some electrical emulator which tricks the vehicles’ Selective Catalytic Reduction(SCR) system not to use AdBlue.

This tricking method of the SCR system has been discovered shortly after also in Spain, Swiss and Netherlands.
At a control, the Spanish authorities discovered electrical emulators installed on no less than 25 trucks. All the trucks have been confiscated and their drivers are risking very high fines.

In Netherlands this kind of fraudulent handling of the selective Catalytic Reduction system is punished with two years jail or with a 20.000 EURO fine.

The trucks producers have been averted the European authorities about this kind of fraudulent handling since 2012.
